Mike Cochran aka “Maitre D” is a DJ’s DJ. You’ve probably heard one of his remixes in your favorite DJs set, on HBO or FM Radio. 

A Bay Area native and child of a jazz musician, Maitre D grew up soaking up the sounds of classic soul, funk, jazz, 90's hip hop and R&B. Naturally his style spans various eras and genres. His work includes a collection of mash-ups, blends, and edits which have been featured on Wild 94.9, on Beat Junkies' record pool, and on compilations by notable DJ crews such as Motown On Mondays & Sazon Libre. Mike also recently won the Kid Capri Challenge sponsored by Rane DJ and ZZound Music.

Being an avid record collector & sample hunter, Maitre D's DJ selections always reflect a distinct level of taste with one foot in the rich musical past and one firmly planted in the here & now. His eclectic taste makes him the perfect DJ for any situation. You might find him rocking a vinyl set at your local club or you could see him working a dance floor into a frenzy at a high class wedding or upscale private event. 

Above all else Mike is the type of person you want at your party. He is an excellent MC, a fabulous DJ and stand up guy. His finger is on the pulse of today’s hits and his love for the classics keeps him rooted in the foundation of music.
